One of the great joys of family history is the opportunity to visit beautiful and interesting places, some - or even many - of which will have been known to your ancestors.

Nesbitt/Nisbets are spoilt for choice, and it is easy to build an interesting holiday in and around southern Scotland, not forgetting some attractive locations in northern England. The Society regularly publishes detailed guides in its newsletter, but here are some outline suggestions:
