Nisbet Country 1654
A portion of the Merse, Berwickshire, shown in Blaeu’s map of 1654. Note the town of Duns just northwest of the centre. West Nisbet, the site of Nisbet House, lies on Howie Burn, south of Duns and near the bottom edge of the map. East Nisbet, nowadays Allanbank, lies to the east.
